Happy Humpday Everyone! As some of you may know, it is Soul Music Wednesday! I truly believe soul music provides a spiritual experience for both the listener and vocalist alike. On Wednesdays, I like to share a featured love song and give my feedback on the record. Some of the songs will be old classics and others will be new favorites.
The song featured today is “Best of Me” by Anthony Hamilton. The song was written and produced by Jairus Mozee with additional writing from Hamilton. The song generated success on the R&B Singles charts and was nominated for two Grammys , including Best R&B song and Best R&B Performance. “Best of Me” was released in December of 2011. Here is a link to the song below…
I love this song not only for the wonderful and production, but also for the lyrical content. The song is a beautiful acknowledgement of love.”Best of Me” speaks of giving the best of yourself to someone else, with the same being reciprocated. I believe you should try give the best of yourself in relationships both romantic and non, especially when the best is being given to you. I salute Anthony Hamilton for his ability to continuously release songs that encourage love all around.
