Soul Music Wednesday

Hey Lovelies,

Happy Humpday Everyone! As some of you may know, it is Soul Music Wednesday! I truly believe soul music provides a spiritual experience for both the listener and vocalist alike. On Wednesdays, I like to share a featured love song and give my feedback on the record. Some of the songs will be old classics and others will be new favorites.

The song featured today is “Redemption Song” by the incomparable, Bob Marley. The song was written and produced by Bob Marley with additional writing credits from Chris Blackwell. The song was released in October of 1980. Here is a link to the song below…

“The Redemption Song” is a classic record that is considered by many as “one of Marley’s greatest works. The song speaks about freeing ourselves from mental slavery”. It encourages independent thought and education and reiterates that you are the only person that is in control of your mind, despite the powers at bay. Bob Marley was a very talented and conscious artist that had strong messages behind a lot of his music.

With Love,
Miss T
