I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We’re almost through January already and I cannot believe how fast time is moving.
Today I wanted to talk about the search for happiness. Oftentimes, you can be surrounded by things that others would deem as a perfect recipe for happiness, but somehow you are still not satisfied. I know I myself struggle with this very idea and question my own happiness due to overthinking most things in life. This internal struggle can cause one to feel sad or depressed without “reason”. But, the reality is that it is a very real feeling that should not be ignored.
When browsing today, I found an article that suggested 3 Sources of Happiness That Aren’t Tied to People or Stuff. I believe that the association of stuff or other people is what many individuals use to indicate their satisfaction or happiness in life. While these two things are important and influential, I think it is also important to find other avenues of happiness that isn’t so reliable on others or objects.
3 Sources of Happiness That Aren’t Tied to People or Stuff
- Learning New Things
- Pursuing meaningful goals
- Stopping to reflect and appreciate
While this list is short, I believe they are good suggestions. I will try some of these methods, as I believe they will provide me with prospective and appreciation.
