Happy Humpday Everyone! As some of you may know, it is Soul Music Wednesday! I truly believe soul music provides a spiritual experience for both the listener and vocalist alike. On Wednesdays, I like to share a featured love song and give my feedback on the record. Some of the songs will be old classics and others will be new favorites.
Lately I have began to expand my musical taste and attempt to listen to different artists and genres. I am not too familiar with new-age music, however I have found a few artists that I enjoy listening to. Many offer soothing music with reference to divine beings, entities, mantras, and melodies.
Today’s featured artist, or album rather, is The Sangha Album, by Deva Premal and Miten with Manose. The album was released on June 23, 2015, receiving shining reviews on both iTunes and Amazon. A sample of the album is linked below.
This album is a beautiful listen with live instrumentation and lyrics of spiritual meaning. I personally believe The Sangha album provides a great backdrop for a deep meditation or yoga session. In the coming new year, I will continue to try and expand beyond my norm to discover new artists, music styles, and much much more.
