Over the weekend, I learned that complaining leads to nothing but pain and suffering. Life has many challenges and it can be easy to wallow in pity, however choosing joy and positivity will provide for a more prosperous experience. I found a short list of convenient ways to try and stop complaining and enjoy a happier life via inc.com that I thought would be a timely share.
- See through the Lens of Gratitude (Keep a Gratitude Journal)
- Examine your relationships
- Get more sleep
- Exercise out the stress
- Putting it all together
This list is short, but still efficient. These techniques prevent a person from concentrating on negativity and faults, which can lead to bellyaching. Sleep, meditation, and exercise are all efficient ways to rid of stress. When you have laughter and positive relationships in your life, it provides a fulfillment of joy and happiness that one can hold onto in times of hardship. I believe keeping a personal journal to write down the things that you are grateful for allows for a great deal of perspective.
Complaining is honestly an easy thing to do. But, in actuality, it is only a hindrance that does not progress you in any way. I know I have a lot of work to do on myself to keep from grumbling, but I will make an active effort to try in order to advance my growth and evolution.
