One of the most enjoyable things to do with your significant other or friends, in my opinion, is to travel. Experiencing new things and places with your loved ones creates lasting memories and deepens bonds. There are many spiritual locations located all throughout the world for lovers and friends alike. Each week, I will introduce a spiritual destination that would make a perfect romantic getaway or a fun trip with your girl or guy friends.
This week’s featured travel destination is the beautiful state of Oregon.
Crater Lake National Park is one of the oldest national parks in the United States, specifically located in Southern Oregon. Native American tribes have long considered Crater Lake to be a sacred site. Legend says that an epic battle occurred here between the Chief of the Above World (Skell) and the Chief of the Below World (Llao) which led to the destruction of Mount Mazama. Subsequently, Crater Lake is has become a site of spiritual quest where many visitors have experienced visions and supernatural power.
Oregon has a number of spiritual resorts, one of which being Breitennush Hot Springs located in Detroit, Oregon. It is a rustic, workshop styled resort in the Cascade Mountains. The resort is independent of energy, powered solely by hydro generators. “It’s cedar sauna is headed by a bubbling hot springs that sits below the building’s floor boards and three of the resort’s natural spring pools are walled by smooth stones.”
Multnomah Falls is the second largest waterfall in the United States. It is located in the Columbia River Gorge of northern Oregon and the falls have been a sacred place to the native tribes for millenniums. The water is known for its sacred powers and has been a well known shamanic power spot.
Oregon is a beautiful state known for many things such as luscious green trees, clear blue waters, and college football.
