Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. Did anyone do anything super exciting or fun? Anyways, as on a typical Monday post, I am going to present a survey or thread I have researched and give my commentary on the results.
“Anxiety is the most silently painful experience. It makes no sense and you sit alone and suffer for an unknown reason. You can’t explain it. You can’t stop it, It is horrible.”
As a life-long sufferer of anxiety, I am always looking for new ways to cope with it. Whether it is meditation or exercise, I have tried numerous things to help treat my anxiety, without turning to medication. While browsing today, I came across a short article on lifefalcons.com listing some ways or hobbies that can help you stay away from anxiety and the list was as follows:
Some Great Old-School Hobbies That Can Help You Stay Away From Anxiety
3. Listening to Music
4. Do It Yourself
While this list is short, it does list some effective methods to help with anxiety. Listening to music and writing are two exercises I use often to help calm my mind. Exercise is also a great method to help de-stress. I am personally not a gardener, but I have heard from other individuals that suffer from anxiety that it does prove to be helpful.
Another method that helps with anxiety that this list did not mention is meditation. Meditation allows one to calm their body and mind using effective breathing techniques. Sometimes the key to calming anxiety and panic is to simply stabilize one’s breathing. Tybro offers many audio download meditations that help to calm stress and anxiety, some examples being the Living Soul Meditation, Remembering Inner Peace, and Free Yourself From Stress. While no practice has been able to completely eliminate my anxiety, I am very thankful for the methods that have helped me to live a more calm and peaceful life.
