Spiritual Getaway

Hey Lovelies,

One of the most enjoyable things to do with your significant other or friends, in my opinion, is to travel. Experiencing new things and places with your loved ones creates lasting memories and deepens bonds. There are many spiritual locations located all throughout the world for lovers and friends alike. Each week, I will introduce a spiritual destination that would make a perfect romantic getaway or a fun trip with your girl or guy friends.

This week’s featured travel destination is Peru.

Peru is a country located in western South America. It is known for many things such as the Andes mountains and the Amazon Rain forest, however, it is also a place of rich spiritual enlightenment. Some of the most sacred sites in the world are located in this beautiful place.

Aramu Muru

Aramu Muru is an abandoned stone wall located near Lake Titicaca. No one knows when, why, or by whom it was built, but it is thought that if you kneel down with your hands on each side and touch the wall with your forehead, you will see the gateway to higher levels of consciousness (Gate of the Gods)

Cusco

Cusco, or Cuzco, is a region in Peru, formally known as the Incan capital. Today, the city is surrounded by many attractions for tourists, including shops, restaurants, hotels, and more. Cusco also contains numerous archaeological sites such as historic royal fortresses and sacred architecture.

Machu Picchu

Machu Piccu is probably the most well known of Peru’s sacred sites located high in the mountains. People travel from all over the world to meditate in this sacred location. While it is an ancient site containing roofless temples, crumbling buildings, overgrown hardens, and solar alignments, many people visit this place to gain a spirit for life and spiritual understanding.

Sacred Valley

The Sacred Valley is located in the North between green luscious mountains. Many farmers in the area still use ancient methods to grow crops such as corn, cocoa, potatoes, etc.. The graves of many deceased Inca people are located in the valley, following a maze of ruins. Other sites in the valley include an ancient agricultural research center and the Temple of the Sun, which is considered one of the most spiritually powerful places in Peru.

Peru has countless sites to provide for a complete spiritual awakening, as I was only able to list a few. There are tour guides available that provide plenty of historic and spiritual knowledge of the sacred sites and the country as a whole. If you are in search of a fun spiritual getaway, consider checking out the beautiful country of Peru.

With Love,
Miss T
